O'Brians Irish Pub, Boca Raton

51 S.E. 1st Avenue, Boca Raton 33432

This particular bar in the heart of downtown Boca Raton has no website, but that doesn't mean you should write it off. It's voted as one of the best bars in a place where it seems as if nothing happens. True to it's colors GREEN, O'Brians provides a full bar and a cozy atomosphere.

This isn't the place to come to if your looking to dance the night away, but it is just the right spot for a few beers, a few friends, and a friendly staff.

"All my friends LOVE this bar! O'Brians is FAU's favorite bar! drink deals are always best in town! WE LOVE LIQUOR PITCHER'S!!! Everyone MUST try this bar!!"- Taylor B

Ultimate Hangover Remedies!

Ever wake up after a GREAT night out, and feel like you were hit by a school bus? In my opinion it's likely that you have or will feel like this, at least once in your lifetime. This blog is dedicated to helping you feel better, as quickly as possible! Especially, if you have class or work the next morning.

In case you've been living on Mars, and have no clue what a hangover feels like here are some of the symptoms that show an intense night full of partying! According to MayoClinic hangover symptoms include: fatigue, nausea, headaches, thirst, shakes, chills, red eyes, etc..

According to Lifescript, the top 5 remedies are:
1. Eat: Nothing like Mickey D's, but a well balanced combination of carbs; such as eggs.
2. Have Sex: This releases endorphins, which reduce hangover symptoms. On the plus side you'll burn off a few of last night's liquids.
3. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: When drinking alcohol you lose a lot of water, as a result your liver and kidneys can't process the alcohol properly. So sports drinks such as Gatorade or Powerade are your best choices.
4. Painkillers are a MUST: Your typical aspirin such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen can actually make symptoms worse, instead try an aspirin for headaches such as Excedrin; this will limit stomach irritation.
5. SNOOOZE and SLEEP it off: Okay so maybe you can call out of work, and write your a teacher an email saying your not feeling well. In any case, getting rest and allowing your body to recuperate helps for a speedy recovery.

Salsa Dancing at Coco Locos Nightclub, Fort Lauderdale

Dancing with the girls-Spring Break 2010
For all my latin gals/guys Coco Lcos is the place to be on either a Friday or Saturday night.

This high-powered dance club features the best of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Reggaeton. Open from 9pm-4am, or whenever your feet burn from all the dancing.

Warning! It's small, and although the dancefloor is big enough for crazy Salsa spins it can get rather crowded.

Located on a remote road off of State Road 84 (Marina Mile), above a Ramada Inn. Best of all, you don't need to be 21 and over for admission. Ladies and guys 18+ welcome, but if you aren't 21 a cover charge of $10 will be charged. A small price to pay to the party gods I think.

"I went on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised with the club. It has a spacious wooden dance floor. In terms of Salsa dancers, I got to see all levels. most of them danced On1 with about half of them dancing Casion (I even saw a small Rueda forming). However, I beliee you're better off going with your own partner or group of friends."-Florida Clubs-Salsa Power!

Drinks are affordable, and you don't need a hefty wallet in order to have a good time. The prices range from $6-$12, and that's not bad at all. The music alone will intoxicate you!

How to get rid of the creepy guy in your club photos!

Ok so this has happened to me on more than one occasion. Your at the club looking your best, with your girls around you, a drink in your hand, and your camera is ready! SNAP! An instant awesome photo when you glance at your display...or so you thought. Going throught the fun night in pictures the next SOBER morning you realize guys in your photos, you didn't even know were posing with you. What a major picture KILL.

How to get rid of these weirdos? It's simple just before your friend snaps the photo LOOK around! See if anyone unsual is posing behind your girlfriends, tell them nicely to go away. If that doesn't work College Candy, says to be STRAIGHT forward and mean if you must.

Nightclub do's and don'ts

We all need a little help sometimes, even when it comes to composing our perfect outfit for the club. Whether your a guy or a lady, this blog is meant to be used as a guide. With a little help from Club Planet, here are the things that will get you noticed, and of course the no no's of the nightlife.

1. Clothes:
Ladies DO show skin. DON'T show all your "goodies," you don't want to give anyone the wrong impression. A tasteful dress or a pair of shorts that acentuates your best assests. Ladies dresses are the easiest, cheapest, and fasest choice. DON'T be afraid to stand out in leopard or zebra prints (Forever 21), and DO wear undies nobody needs a "Britney" moment.
Guys DO where button-down shirts or collard. This just looks better then shorts or the common basketball jersey. DON'T wear anything that looks like your little sister bedazzled it, this is not the Jersey Shore; you will get laughed at.

2. Shoes:
Ladies sky high heels are a MUST! But DON'T wear stripper heels, I'm sure they hurt and unless you're stripper you could break an ankle. Finding heels that are comfortable yet stylish can be a little hard, but places like Traffic Shoes can get you great heels at a good prices!
Guys Do wear dress shoes, nothing that looks like you belong in a wedding though. DON'T break out the sneakers, yes Jordans are fashionable, but not at a nightclub.

3. Make-up (Ladies):
YES of course make-up is a MUST!! A classic look or smokey eyes can totally draw more attention to you. Ladies DON'T pile the make-up, on the last thing you want to do is look like a birthday cake; even worse here in South Florida the humidity can assist in the melting of your face. DO wear water-proof eyeliner and mascara this will help when you start showing off your dance moves.

4. Purses:
The finishing touches for a night out--Gentlemen DO bring money, there's nothing cute about flirting with a pretty girl and you can't buy her a drink.
Ladies DON'T bring a purse that holds your entire life, it's acceptable when your running around being the busy female you are; but at a night club it just looks bad. Once at the club your going to want to walk around and dance a huge bag won't give you space. DO bring a clutch or a wristlet, something big enough for cash, credit cards, and  lipgloss. Remember girls just because we will get a guy to buy us a drink, doesn't mean you should look like your helpless. Coach wristlet $48-$98.

iL Bacio, Downtown Delray Beach

Venturing up north to Delray Beach will sure bring a smile to all those party-goers who can enjoy a good time, in just a few hours. The strip on Atlantic Avenue host some of the hottest scenes in Delray such as Delux (previous blog); and Delray’s best kept secret il Bacio. Winning a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

iL Bacio is a combination of indoor and outdoor fun. The inside is a smaller area with a dance floor, one bar, and a DJ booth. The outside equipped with a large stage, two bars, and a huge dance floor.

Live Bands Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6-10 High Energy DJs Wed-Sun 10-2.
A happy scene where older meets younger, a gentle mix of college students and middle aged people gather in this restaurant that turns into one large dance floor.

“After 11pm the music really got jamming and the tunes were awesome for the rest of the night. The DJ really knew his stuff!”- YELP

Fun. Energetic. Lively. Dancing. Drinks.-All to what can describe a night at iL Bacio. The downside? $10 for the ladies and $15 for the gents to get through the door. The drinks are some-what overpriced and sometimes can feel like there isn’t enough alcohol. iL Bacio is a place you save up to go, although $40 can guarantee a good time.
It for sure isn’t a place you visit weekly!
